Measured terrain, at its natural scale.

Reading the mountains…

Real geography. An early study.

The mountain shapes come from Copernicus elevation data, reprojected into metres around Bivacco Seveso. Heights are not exaggerated. Snow, ice, vegetation and bare ground follow ESA WorldCover's 2021 classification; these are illustrative materials, not aerial photographs.

The location is based on a public shelter inventory and the GPS in your exterior photograph. The small red shelter is a scale model; its exact orientation and the ground immediately below it still need refinement. A 30 m dataset cannot resolve the hut ledge or individual crevasses.

Your complete cabin, audio and time-lapse prototype is preserved on the original experience page.
